If you find a tooth at Target . . .
it's Ethan's. Well, if you find one, you should probably leave it alone, since his is at OUR Target, which none of you will be. I e-mailed the Tooth Fairy and explained that it wouldn't be under the pillow since we lost it, and she left a silver dollar. About a week later, he lost the other, which we were able to put under the pillow, and she left a $2 bill. He has a few more loose teeth, so not only will the Tooth Fairy soon be in the poorhouse, Ethan will be toothless! His front bottom teeth were already growing behind the loose teeth (which thankfully the dentist says is very common - like 40% of the kids he sees), so they are almost grown in there. We took this lovely photo after the first one came out.
We hit our one year anniversary for living here last week. It seems like it has only been a few months, but at the same time it feels like several years. Ethan is out of school (except for 15 minutes tomorrow when he goes in for his report card). They have to make up 1 tornado day, so as long as the kids "show up" - even for 15 minutes, it counts as a day. Otherwise, last Friday would have been report card/last day. My basement workshop is coming along quite nicely. In fact, all it needs now is a door! I am unpacking my stuff slowly and trying to organize it right the first time. Here is a corner wall where my favorite Ikea bookcase is now standing. I'll take more photos after the boxes are out. It looks like a tornado hit inside the room right now. (Hmmm, the second mention of a tornado in the same paragraph, not a good sign!)
What else? Oh, Ethan's play went really well. He was a Scarecrow and a Weed. The boys were all automatically weeds for a song they did, so that is why he has green stuff coming out of his hat. Not just "regular" weeds, though. They were "cool" weeds. They wore sunglasses and had backwards baseball caps (which you can't really see under the straw hat). Glen video'd it, so I will try to transfer it to a DVD for you Judy.
I think that's all for now. I have to go clean the kitchen. Ethan and I made some water balloons earlier while waiting for Glen to come home (yes, to get him with. He got me with a super soaker yesterday while I was in a dress, so he deserves it! [although I got him back with the hose already]), but some of them spontaneously exploded while in the bowl. Ethan and the neighbors played with super soakers for a while this afternoon. I have the feeling we're in for a very wet summer. I think we'll try and get a cheap pool to splash around in. They keep talking about putting one in the park down the street, but they never do anything about it. Wouldn't that be nice!
OK, well, I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!
