If you find a tooth at Target . . .

it's Ethan's. Well, if you find one, you should probably leave it alone, since his is at OUR Target, which none of you will be. I e-mailed the Tooth Fairy and explained that it wouldn't be under the pillow since we lost it, and she left a silver dollar. About a week later, he lost the other, which we were able to put under the pillow, and she left a $2 bill. He has a few more loose teeth, so not only will the Tooth Fairy soon be in the poorhouse, Ethan will be toothless! His front bottom teeth were already growing behind the loose teeth (which thankfully the dentist says is very common - like 40% of the kids he sees), so they are almost grown in there. We took this lovely photo after the first one came out.

We hit our one year anniversary for living here last week. It seems like it has only been a few months, but at the same time it feels like several years. Ethan is out of school (except for 15 minutes tomorrow when he goes in for his report card). They have to make up 1 tornado day, so as long as the kids "show up" - even for 15 minutes, it counts as a day. Otherwise, last Friday would have been report card/last day. My basement workshop is coming along quite nicely. In fact, all it needs now is a door! I am unpacking my stuff slowly and trying to organize it right the first time. Here is a corner wall where my favorite Ikea bookcase is now standing. I'll take more photos after the boxes are out. It looks like a tornado hit inside the room right now. (Hmmm, the second mention of a tornado in the same paragraph, not a good sign!)

What else? Oh, Ethan's play went really well. He was a Scarecrow and a Weed. The boys were all automatically weeds for a song they did, so that is why he has green stuff coming out of his hat. Not just "regular" weeds, though. They were "cool" weeds. They wore sunglasses and had backwards baseball caps (which you can't really see under the straw hat). Glen video'd it, so I will try to transfer it to a DVD for you Judy.

I think that's all for now. I have to go clean the kitchen. Ethan and I made some water balloons earlier while waiting for Glen to come home (yes, to get him with. He got me with a super soaker yesterday while I was in a dress, so he deserves it! [although I got him back with the hose already]), but some of them spontaneously exploded while in the bowl. Ethan and the neighbors played with super soakers for a while this afternoon. I have the feeling we're in for a very wet summer. I think we'll try and get a cheap pool to splash around in. They keep talking about putting one in the park down the street, but they never do anything about it. Wouldn't that be nice!
OK, well, I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Where to start?

I've been a bag, bag blogger. I'll try to catch up.
We have a bunny living in the backyard. He arrived shortly after Easter (coincidence? I think not!). He lives in any of 3 drain pipes all leading to our yard. We tried to give him carrots but he didn't want them. He did like the lettuce, though. He's hard to see camoflaged in our half dirt, half wanna-be grass backyard, but here he is. Ethan is still deciding on a name for him.

Ethan had his first tee ball game on Monday. The kids were so cute in their uniforms. They only run 1 base at a time, no matter how hard (or soft) they hit, so nobody hits a home run or gets out. They may start playing the regular way after everyone gets used to the rules. Seeing as how they chat with the other team and don't pay attention to when anyone hits to actually run to the next base, I'm doubting this will happen anytime soon. Here is our fearless would-be-pitcher (if not for the tee) ready to catch a grounder, of which there were many.

He did a little happy dance after touching home plate for the first time. A bunch of the kids were sliding into bases. It was pretty funny.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Jude for finally getting out of her own personal hell some call a job!! I am so happy for you and wish you much more happiness in the new place of employment!
A big GET WELL SOON to Tracie and wishes for a speedy recovery from your surgery.
I have to go to the store this afternoon to buy a straw hat for Ethan's play next Tuesday. He's a scarecrow. I got the easy costume. Jeans and a flannel shirt. A bunch of kids are weeds. How do you make a weed? Only 2-1/2 weeks left of school. I need to find some activities! He will be joining Tiger Cubs and they have a few summer things planned. Tee ball will still be going for a while. He wants to play soccer, but that doesn't start until August.
I guess that's all for now.
